  • REBT

  • Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy was originally developed by Dr. Albert Ellis in 1955. It is a psychological approach that looks at how people's unhealthy beliefs affect their problems.

  • BSCH

  • British Society of Clinical Hypnosis is a body whose aim is to promote and assure high standards in the profession of hypnotherapy

  • Mapping of Beliefs

  • Maps out beliefs looking at primary core beliefs and then at secondary ones.

  • IBS

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a disorder of the intestines that can lead to crampy pain, gas, bloating and changes in bowel habits. The person can experience either frequent diarrhea or constipation or both.

  • Nocturnal Enuresis

  • Another term for bed-wetting, usually found in children.

  • NLP

  • Neuro Linguistic Programming was founded in the 1970šs by Richard Bandler and John Grinder. NLP looks at how people do things rather than why.

  • Anorexia

  • A serious, often life threatening eating disorder characterized by starvation. An anorexic will believe they are overweight even when dramatically underweight.

  • Bulimia

  • An eating disorder characterized by repeated bouts of overeating and an excessive preoccupation with body weight leading a bulimic to extreme measures such as laxative abuse and self inflicted vomiting.

  • Bruxism

  • Grinding of teeth usually at night during sleep
